Håland
This is a sword made for the Museum of Archeology in Stavanger that are loosely based on a migration period sword in their collection.
The pommel at the end of the sword did not have any decorative elements, so the ornamentation that is on the reproduction is from pommel from Bergen, Norway.
The grip is made out of bog oak with brass plates on top and bottom. The grip is all gone on the original and you can only see faint traces of the plates. The shape of the grip is inspired by findings from Schleswig.
